The Hi-D Intelligent Wall Switch provides dimming capability in automation and energy management applications. Load status is indicated via LEDs located on the right side of the switch button. The Hi-D provides independent load control that can dim incandescent/tungsten loads up to 600 Watts. The Hi-D switches may be bound to other HiLites products on the network. The Hi-D switch may also be remotely controlled by other HiLites products or by a controller using the HiLites protocol. The Hi-D responds to any controller with a RS-232 interface and communicates using the HiLites protocol. By using multiple HiLites products, the user can define and implement various multi-way switching and dimming configurations. Scenes can be programmed into the Hi-D without the use of a controller. Advanced controls which rely on sensor and external triggers will require a controller for programming. The Hi-D is stylish in its appearance with a streamlined switch-plate design. Special attention to aesthetics allows the Hi-D to compliment both home and office applications. Additionally a physical disconnect switch is provided below the rocker switch to bypass the electronic switching mechanism in the event that a switched load requires servicing, thus ensuring the safety of the operator.
